Our week in photos.....

It's been another busy week here at The Air Ambulance Service. Rather than writing it all down for, we've decided to give you an insight to our week through a variety of photos our staff have captured throughout the week. Because let's be honest, does anyone really fancy reading an essay on a Friday afternoon?!

MONDAY

Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) one of our Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) turns the grand old age of nine.

Here's paramedic Keith Rutherford holding the cake made especially for them.

We'd like to say it was nice... but the crew managed two demolish it way before us Marketing and Communications people got a look in.

TUESDAY

Here's Nicole Rolfe, one of our lovely The Children's Air Ambulance Fundraising Managers, receiving a cheque from the Banbury Lions Club. The Lions decided to make the donation of £200 after a presentation about The Children's Air Ambulance was delivered to them by Nicole.

That's what we call a roaring success!

WEDNESDAY

If you were listening to BBC Radio Northamptonshire on Wednesday afternoon you may have heard these two chappies.

Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Paramedic Simon Cusack and Pilot Joe Moore were being interviewed by John Griff about WNAA's ninth birthday...

....until they were interupted by an emergency call!

THURSDAY

We went to Rugeley on Thursday for the opening of two brand new shops in aid of The Children's Air Ambulance. Jon Bentley (Gadget Show presenter) opened the shops and people of Rugeley* flocked through the doors to snap up high quality bargain clothes, furniture, accessories, and well, pretty much every else.

*Fine - we were also tempted by the goodies... two books, a handbag, and a pair of shoes, all for less than a tenner with the money going towards a brilliant cause?! Would have been rude not to.

FRIDAY

Well here's one group of people who don't have to worry about the weather for the next week. These ten adventurers embarked today on a trip to Peru where they well tackle the famous Machu Picchu, all in aid of The Air Ambulance Service. Between them they have raised approximately £60,000 - wow!

Well done guys and good luck!

Today also saw the end of a training course that has been taking place all week at our Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) airbase at Coventry Airport.

The participants have spent the day participating in a mock-up scenario involving two cars and a cyclist. There will be more to follow on our site next week but for now here are some images....

That's all from us this week folks.

Have a good weekend... and STAY SAFE!
