We're incredibly excited and very proud that The Children's Air Ambulance, one of the three vital services ran by The Air Ambulance Service, has carried out it's very first baby transfer. Little baby Theo was just one day old when he was flown from Scarborough to Hull - a flight which took just 15 minutes but which would have taken over an hour by land ambulance. It's taken 18 months of hard work from The Air Ambulance Service staff and volunteers, as well as incredibly generous support from members of the public, and to read such a fanastic story and to see the difference that The Children's Air Ambulance has made, really does make it all worthwhile.
Here are some photos of Theo's flight, for the full story please visit our website. We receive no Government or National Lottery funding so Theo's flight was paid for solely by donations. In order to help us continue this vital transfer service, text TCAA77 plus the amount you’d like to donate e.g. TCAA77 £5 to 70070. You can choose donate the following amounts £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10.
